2) Brushes separate out larger solids and can be easily removed for cleaning.
3) The foam cartridges are the first biological medium. Because they are only taking small solids, they don't clog easily. The water can only flow through these cartridges - full of beneficial bacteria.
4) Water passes down the center of the foam cartridges, through plastic Biomedia in the lower compartment and back into the pond.
How Green Machines Are So Effective
The filter is installed in the ground next to the pond using a multi-level system which is placed in the pond to skim water from the surface and pull water from the bottom of the pond. Water passes through a liner connector located approximately 6" to 12" below the water surface into the Green Machine, which is then full of water to the same level as the pond. A Prima XL Pond Pump located in the filter returns the water back to the pond or waterfall via a ultraviolet clarifier. |
