Here's one big difference between this book and other books about garden ponds: this one concentrates primarily on factors affecting plants and planting arrangements and pays very little attention to fish and other animals that might live in the pond.
The book also contains a section that covers miniature water gardens, and it deals mostly with ponds set up in cold climates, so it covers techniques for preventing cold-weather damage.
Beautiful color photos through out the book. 96pp, HB.
