Used to treat stubborn gram-negative bacterial infections such as neon tetra disease, Malawi bloat, hemorrhagic septicemia, and swollen belly disease. Active Ingredients: water-soluble form of nalidixic acid.
Contains two furan compounds to combat a wide variety of gram-positive and gram-negative bacterial diseases, including gill disease, mouth fungus, furunculosis (aeromonas), black molly disease (columnaris), fin and tail rot, and dropsy. Active Ingredients: nitrofurazone, furazolidone, and methylene blue trihydrate.
A special formula of three medications plus an antibiotic to effectively treat furunculosis (aeromonas), fin and tail rot, cotton mouth disease, body slime, and eye cloud for fresh and saltwater fish. Active Ingredients: sulfamethazine, sulfacethazine, and sulfathiazole.
Tetracycline First-Aid treats common diseases such as tail rot, mouth fungus, and gill disease. Aquarium filtration will not affect treatment. Active Ingredients: 250 mg of tetracycline hydrochloride.
For Fresh & Saltwater treatment of Erythromycin susceptible bacterial diseases such as: body slime, mouth fungus, furunculosis (open lesions), and hemorraghic septicemia (blood spots without sign of skin damage). Inhibits disease spreading when introducing new fish into an aquarium. Can be used with any ich, fungus, or parasite remedy to prevent secondary infection.
Maracyn is best for infections of: columnaris - "body fungus" (greyish-white material covering most of the body), fin and tail rot, popeye, gill disease, and secondary infections.
Maracyn is a broad-spectrum, nontoxic antibiotic tablets for freshwater aquarium use only.
