Snap, Click, Set Temperature Control Knob--allows you to accurately raise and lower temperature "one degree at a time" from 66°(18.9 C) to 90°(32.2 C). High Thermal Diffusion--nickel-chrome wire on heater core touches the glass tube, heating the glass, not the air in the tube--this heats aquarium water faster and more efficiently. 6-foot-long cord allows for easy connection to power supply. Fully submersible.

Heater Size?

What size Heater should I use?

The general rule is to use 3-5 watts per gallon of aquarium water, but 5 watts per gallon is recommended. For example, if you have a 10 gallon size aquarium, choose a 50 watt heater.

It is also a good idea to have an additional heater handy in case the existing heater breaks down.
